2020 was a year
full of crazy, full of fear.
TP was in short supply,
everyone was baking pie.
Gatherings were not allowed,
contact beeps came from the cloud.
The borders were closed, except for us.
Thank goodness for truckers, in drivers we trust!
And people stepped up to help us out.
Both common folk and those with clout.
We saw that all across the land,
people showed kindness, lent a hand.
So, bad as it was, we have to say,
there could have been much darker days.
Still, we’re glad to say goodbye,
and trust that better days are nigh.
Yes, 21 is full of hope,
though it seems at the end of a telescope.
But it’s only days, till a brand new year.
On Jan 1st we all will cheer.
Farewell 2020, good riddance, we’ll say.
And know better days are on their way.
